Mark Sarmel is a illustrator and designer from Detroit,
MI.
Deeply influenced by old cigar boxes, Marian Bantjes, and his cousin Mike. Much
of his typographic work is a mesh of decorative filigree,
simplistic san serifs and black letter type.
His illustration work has appeared in Faesthetic, Empty, and the Semi-Permanent
'07 catalog. He has participated in group shows in galleries in New York, LA,
Miami, Detroit and Sydney, Australia.
